Terrorists win when suspicion and distrust exist
When we start viewing fellow Singaporeans with suspicion, the terrorists have won (‘Vetting Muslim workers differently is very wrong, says Shanmugam’, June 21). When we begin with some “basic assumptions” about some people, the terrorists have succeeded in implanting fear. When we believe that people of (a different) faith should be treated differently, the terrorists have destroyed the trust in our society. GABRIEL GOH
