Waste of funds to upgrade Ghim Moh Market again
I endorse the stand taken by the writer in the letter “Consumers bear the cost of hawker centre upgrading” (Sept 30).
I endorse the stand taken by the writer in the letter “Consumers bear the cost of hawker centre upgrading” (Sept 30).
I am also sure he reflects the opinions of many of us who depend on Ghim Moh Market and Food Centre for groceries and meals.
This market has been refurbished and upgraded several times over the years; its structure is solid. Sprucing up this place seems a waste of public funds and would be a poor excuse for driving up prices.
It is a good time to stop inflation from taking root, for residents and members of the public who drive here to savour the tasty food at affordable prices.
