Why not put air purifiers in all primary classrooms?

In the past few years, the haze has become a yearly event, dependent upon external factors beyond our control and detrimental to health, especially for the young and elderly.

In the past few years, the haze has become a yearly event, dependent upon external factors beyond our control and detrimental to health, especially for the young and elderly.

The elderly can be protected by masks and by keeping them indoors. But active schoolchildren are more vulnerable. Can the Education Ministry consider providing air purifiers for all classrooms in primary schools? We do not want to close schools and disrupt classes, nor do we want our children to breath in polluted air when the Pollutant Standards Index hits 100 to 200.

Instead, teachers can close the windows and use air purifiers. Having an air purifier in one air-conditioned room such as a sick bay is not the answer to this annual problem.
