Worry that Pokemon Go will cause accidents, be a nuisance

I refer to the online reports “Stop catching Pokemon here: Arlington Cemetery, Holocaust Museum” (July 13) and “Amid frenzy, Pokemon Go leads to robberies and injuries” (July 12).

I have been a fan of Pokemon, Pikachu and other cartoon and manga characters since young, but I am worried that the game Pokemon Go, when it is available in Singapore, will cause accidents and be a nuisance to many.

Already, an expatriate by the name of Sonny Truyen foolishly criticised and cursed Singapore because the game is not yet available here (“Australian expat fired after calling Singapore a ‘s*** country’ for not having Pokemon GO”; July 11, online).

I am sure this popular game will not be banned in Singapore. But will it, like in the United States, where the game is available, also cause crimes here?
