Siege over at Burkina hotel, restaurant, new assault ongoing: Minister

OUAGADOUGOU — A total of 126 people have been freed and three jihadists killed today (Jan 16) following an assault by security forces on the Burkina Faso hotel and restaurant that were attacked by Al-Qaeda-linked gunmen, the interior minister said, adding that an assault was ongoing in another hotel.

"126 people including 33 wounded have been freed," Simon Compaore told AFP. "Three jihadists— an Arab and two black Africans — were killed."
