Chinese State Councillor Yang Jiechi calls on PM Lee

China’s State Councillor and top diplomat Yang Jiechi, who is in Singapore at the invitation of the Government, yesterday called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana. During their meeting, the leaders discussed the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Singapore-China diplomatic relations next year, including the exchange of state visits by Singapore President Tony Tan and Chinese President Xi Jinping, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement. Mr Lee and Mr Yang also exchanged views on regional developments, major power relations as well as ways to promote closer cooperation between China and the Association of South-east Asian Nations. China’s State Councillor and top diplomat Yang Jiechi, who is in Singapore at the invitation of the Government, yesterday called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana. During their meeting, the leaders discussed the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Singapore-China diplomatic relations next year, including the exchange of state visits by Singapore President Tony Tan and Chinese President Xi Jinping, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.
