Cops raid MACC’s special operations office

KUALA LUMPUR — The police today (Aug 5) raided the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) special operations division office in Putrajaya, just days after raiding the office of a MACC deputy public prosecutor.

KUALA LUMPUR — The police today (Aug 5) raided the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) special operations division office in Putrajaya, just days after raiding the office of a MACC deputy public prosecutor.

A team of about six officers entered the division’s office in Precinct 3 at about 7pm local time, after police earlier grilled the division’s deputy director Tan Kang Sai for almost four hours at the Putrajaya district police headquarters.

The move is part of the police’s investigation into an alleged leak in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) probe by MACC. THE MALAYSIAN INSIDER
