Light quake shakes buildings in Tokyo; no injuries or damage

TOKYO — A light earthquake struck north of Tokyo today (Feb 7), shaking buildings in the Japanese capital.

TOKYO — A light earthquake struck north of Tokyo today (Feb 7), shaking buildings in the Japanese capital.
 
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage, and there was no tsunami risk.
 
The magnitude-4.6 quake struck at around 7.30pm (6.30pm, Singapore time) at a depth of 50km in Ibaraki prefecture, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
 
The US Geological Survey said the quake struck 43km north-east of Tokyo. AP
