KUCHING — Having wanted to meet Mr Najib Razak ever since he was four years-old, Addi Asyraaf Mohamad Missbahuddin, 6, got his wish granted on Sunday (April 24).

According to his mother, Zurina Jamil, 37, Addi Asyraaf became a fan of the prime minister after having seen pictures of him in school and heard him speak on television.

Ms Zurina said her son was diagnosed with Alagille Syndrome two years ago, and she has been working hard to make the meet happen.

“The life expectancy of a child with Alagille Syndrome is six years. So when he turned six, I have been working hard to make his dream come true,” she told reporters today.

Addi Asyraf’s desire to meet the prime minister went viral on social media after Zurina had posted it on her Facebook page.

Mr Najib paid a visit to Addi Asyraaf’s home in Kampung Bintawa Tengah, Petrajaya near here earlier today.

The prime minister was accompanied by his wife Rosmah Mansor and Barisan Nasional candidate for Pantai Damai state seat Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.

Alagille syndrome is a genetic disorder that typically causes liver damage due to abnormalities in the bile ducts. Other complications of the disorder also affect the heart. MALAY MAIL ONLINE
