Teenager killed after taking selfie at waterfall in Indonesia
BOGOR (Indonesia) — The body of a 16-year-old boy has been pulled from a river in the outskirts of Jakarta after he fell in while taking a selfie with friends on Tuesday (April 5).
Agung Relyadi, a student at Cengkareng State High School, was taking a selfie at Ngumpet Waterfall in Pamijahan, Bogor, West Java, on Tuesday with nine friends when he slipped and fell into the river. He was swept away by the strong current.
His friends reported the incident to residents and police immediately, but police found nothing before night fell on Tuesday.
Agung’s body was found at 8am (9am, Singapore time) on Wednesday. His family has collected the body for his funeral, local police said. JAKARTA GLOBE
