KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia’s transport minister Mr Liow Tiong Lai said today that the “trigger-happy criminal” in the downing of the MH17 flight last year must be brought to justice.

Mr Liow declined, however, to comment further when pressed to elaborate on what he meant by “criminal”, and merely urged for patience.

“With the technical report that we are reviewing now, we hope it will be of assistance to look into the details and find out those who are responsible.

“I must reiterate that this is the saddest tragedy and I would like to see this trigger-happy criminal brought to justice and he has caused so many innocent lives,” he told reporters after the MH17 National Memorial Ceremony at the Bunga Raya Complex at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport today (July 11).

Prime Minister Najib Razak said in his speech during the ceremony that the criminal investigations team now has a “clearer picture” of the possible causes to the attack. THE MALAY MAIL ONLINE
