Pakistan military says operations "closing up" at school attacked by Taliban

PESHAWAR (Pakistan) — The Taliban attacked a military-run school today (Dec 16) because they wanted revenge for the Pakistani military targeting their own families, a spokesman said.

PESHAWAR (Pakistan) — The Pakistani military said a sixth gunman had been killed at a school attacked by the Taliban today (Dec 16), and that operations were "closing up".

"6th terrorist killed in last block," Major General Asim Bajwa tweeted. "IEDs (bombs) planted by terrorists hamper speed of clearance."

"Closing up," he tweeted.

The Taliban said they sent six gunmen wearing suicide vests into the building. 132 people, mostly children, have died from the attack, confirmed officials. AGENCIES
