Taiwanese politician Zheng Yunpeng’s 17-year-old son, De De (德德) recently found himself in the spotlight, all thanks to his handsome good looks.

He first gained attention when he was seen with his dad during the latter’s election campaign. Photos of him quickly went viral and he was even called the 'Taiwan's Cha Eun Woo' by Korean media.

After becoming the talk of the town overnight, De De went on to start an Instagram account on Valentine’s Day.

Though he only has two photos on his page to date, he has already amassed over 280K followers, which solid proof of his popularity.

According to Yunpeng, he “never expected” his son to become famous.

According to reports, De De has been receiving dance training from Taipei-based modelling agency Catwalk Production House for the past six months.

When asked if De De will embark on a career in showbiz, a Catwalk representative said: “He is currently focusing on his training. He is a good kid who is eager to do things well, and his studies are very important to him as well. His future plans are dependent on him and the wishes of his parents.”
