Ada Choi And Family Said To Have Moved Back To Hong Kong Months After Saying She Loves Living In China

Hong Kong actress Ada Choi, 49, became really popular in China after playing a wicked empress in 2011 Chinese drama Empresses in the Palace.

She has since become a regular guest on Chinese variety shows, and is loved by the audiences for her candid and cheerful personality.

Given her success in China, it came as no surprise when Ada and her husband of 14 years, Chinese actor Max Zhang and their three children, Zoe, 11, Chloe, nine and Le Er, three, decided to make Shanghai their permanent home last year. 

In fact, she even talked about how much she loves living in China on a variety show in April.

However, it was recently reported that Ada and her family actually moved back to Hong Kong some months back because of the pandemic situation in Shanghai.

The surge in Covid cases there led officials to lock the city down again, resulting in a lack of resources and food shortage. And it was speculated that she and her family moved back to Hong Kong immediately when the lockdown was lifted in June.

The couple also put up their luxurious 3,500 sq ft apartment in Shanghai for rent, which fueled further talk they've left the city.

Now, Ada's latest post more or less confirms those suspicions.

Ada recently took to her social media page to share a series of pictures of her family trip to Lantau Island.

“Happiness is actually very simple, the most important thing is to have fun!” wrote Ada.

The post included snaps of Chloe playing hopscotch and Max pushing Le Er on a swing. Ada on the other hand, looked gorgeous in a bare-faced selfie, which drew plenty of compliments from her followers.

“It seems like the empress is having lots of fun!” and “The most important thing is to have the whole family together,” were just some of the comments left by netizens.
