Allan Wu’s 17-Year-Old Daughter Awarded Student Of The Year For Topping Her Class

Looks like Allan Wu’s 17-year-old daughter Sage is going places. The proud papa took to his Instagram to share an academic award that Sage received recently at SJI International School, where she's studying.

In a previous interview with 8days.sg, Allan, 49, revealed that both Sage and her younger brother, 15-year-old Jonas, have been studying at the institution since they were in pre-school.

He also shared that Sage is in the first year of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme, and has very lofty dreams for university after she graduates next year. After all, her dream uni is Stanford, which only has an acceptance rate of 4 per cent.

But with this latest update from Allan, it looks like getting accepted into the American university isn’t going to be too tough for Sage.

"Huge congrats to you, Sage, on being awarded Student of the Year for the top student in your class!” wrote Allan. "Your hard work and determination are paying off — and you never cease to amaze me with all that you continue to accomplish."

"It has been such a joy watching you grow up for this proud father so keep putting in the work because this is only the beginning of many more amazing things to come for you!” he added.

Guess Allan wasn’t exaggerating when he told us in that earlier interview that with Sage’s academic results, as well as her "background, personality and profile," she has "an 80 per cent, possibly 90 per cent chance, of getting into a top tier school by herself”.

Allan previously shared that Sage “has an interest in aerospace, rocket science and computer science”.

She's been going to the gym with Allan recently too

Sage and Jonas are Allan’s kids from his marriage to former actress Wong Lilin, 49. The couple divorced in 2013 after nine years of marriage.
