Avenue At MBS Reopens Apr 29; Minimum Spend From $150 Per Pax For Table Reservations

ARTs not required, though.

Folks looking to celebrate the return of nightlife in Singapore after two long years are spoilt for choice. You could party on the dancefloor like old times (don’t forget your masks and negative ART results). Or perhaps you’re looking for something a little more exclusive and intimate.

For the latter, there’s Avenue in Marina Bay Sands, which reopens on Apr 29. You may remember the lavish cocktail lounge not just for its bespoke libations, but also for the uber cool mini bowling alley, retro pinball machines and a pool table, all of which will be available for guests’ use once more (while the karaoke room is available for booking, karaoke facilities will not be available in the initial phase of reopening).

Stepping into the 372sqm space, which is adjacent to Marquee (which remains closed for now), kinda feels like you’ve been invited to someone’s fancy penthouse party. And like exclusive soirees, it’s probably best to reserve your spot. Avenue is taking table reservations for groups of four and above now, and it comes with a minimum spend, a practice that was implemented pre-pandemic as well.

To reserve a standing table, there’s a minimum spend of $150 per person (yes, per person); and if you want to cosy up at a sofa table, guests in your group will have to fork out at least $200 each. There are no time limitations to the table, and the entire party must be present before being seated.

Not sure if you can splash that much cash in one night? Fret not, walk-in guests will still be accepted, subject to seat availability, and do not have to commit to a minimum spend. Of course, the downside is that you could be turned away if there’s no space as the venue operates with a capacity limit that adheres to prevailing government guidelines.

Guests are not required to take an ART to visit Avenue, but masks are still required except when eating or drinking.

Avenue is open Fridays and Saturdays, 10pm to 6am. For table reservations, e-mail avenue.reservations [at] marinabaysands.com () or call 6688-8680. More info here.
