Ben & Jerry's new Salted Caramel Brownie Peace Pop taste test: Nice or not?
Ice cream and brownies on a stick.

A fat slice of brownie dolloped with ice cream — a classic combo. But vanilla chocolate chip ice cream with a brownie core encapsulated in salted caramel on a stick? Now that’s a brand new offering by Ben & Jerry’s. It’s christened the Salted Caramel Brownie Peace Pop, ’cos the well-loved brand is all about “spreading peace, love and ice cream”. This will only be available for a limited time, while stocks last.

Salted Caramel Brownie Peace Pop, $6.46/stick; $18.07/box of three
After we rip open the bright orange wrapping, we are greeted with a cute circular iced pop, its light brown caramel shell faintly stamped with a peace sign.

Taste test
We crunch on its crisp coat, into fairly rich vanilla ice cream dotted with tiny specks of chocolate that are more like sprinkles than chips. The brownie is satisfyingly fudgy and works well with both the sweet ice cream and slightly salty caramel covering.

The verdict
Nice! We enjoyed the interplay of creamy, gooey, crunchy textures and sweet-salty flavour combo. A fun, convenient way to enjoy ice cream and brownies on the go.
Available at all convenience stores, major supermarkets and GrabMart, while stocks last.
