Benjamin Yuen gets busted for not wearing a helmet while riding e-scooter in China because of a video he posted

Ben says he "really didn't know" he had to wear a helmet but is that a valid reason though?

With people putting everything online these days, it's often easy to forget that you may have exposed yourself doing something illegal.

Recently, TVB actor Benjamin Yuen, 42, shared a video of him riding an electric scooter back to his hotel in Shenzhen after dinner.

Ben, who's expecting his first child with actress wife Bowie Cheung, 31, raved about the ride, calling it "so cool".

Um, but you know what's not so cool? Him not wearing a helmet, which was quickly pointed out by netizens.

To make things worse, Ben was filming with one hand and was going at a high speed.

According to netizens, what the actor did was not only dangerous but also illegal.

Many also left comments slamming the star, who quickly deleted the video.

In response, Ben said he "really didn't know" that what he did was illegal, an excuse that netizens did not buy.

"Saying you didn't know doesn't let you get away with it!" wrote one irate netizen.
