Benjamin Yuen, Whose Father-In-Law Is A Billionaire; Says He’s Not Living Off His Wife And Her Family's Money

The actor, who suffered a spate of poor health earlier this year, added that he’s no longer bothered by these comments.

TVB actor Benjamin Yuen, 41, who tied the knot with actress Bowie Cheung, 30, in 2020, has had to deal with a lot of comments about his financial capabilities… or lack thereof since then.

You see, Bowie comes from a really rich family, and her dad is said to be a billionaire tycoon in the undergarments industry.

Many netizens went on to describe Benjamin as someone who’s “living off” his wife and her wealthy family, which the actor has refuted on his Douyin account.

Of course, those reports about the couple’s swanky new HK$66mil (S$12mil) luxury apartment, which they bought after getting hitched, didn’t help as well.

That's one gorgeous view.

Benjamin, who’s currently in quarantine, asserted that he’s “not living off” his in-laws in a joint live stream with Bowie.

He also shared that after getting married, he did notice that there were many comments attacking him for using their money, with some noting that Benjamin was only able to live in a multimillion dollar home because of his Bowie.

The actor said he used to get affected by all that talk, but after two years has since stopped caring about these comments.

Does he look older?

Apart from that, when some netizens commented that Benjamin seems to have aged significantly, Bowie immediately stepped forward to defend him.

Bowie, who said that aging is perfectly normal, adding that everyone should learn to appreciate the passage of time. She also revealed that Benjamin puts in a lot of effort to maintain his looks, and went on to praise him too.

Adding on to Bowie’s words, Benjamin revealed that he actually went through a spate of poor health earlier this year, due to work.

Benjamin shared that he was filming both Forensic Heroes V and ICA Investigators 2022 at the same time. As his role in Forensic Heroes V was really complex, the lack of rest caused him to start losing hair, which might be why he looks ‘older' now.
