Benz Hui’s Daughter To Wed Singaporean Fiancé In Hong Kong And Singapore Next Year

Benz’s daughter Charmaine, 25, is currently focusing on expanding her café business and recently launched a pop-up Hong Kong.

Hong Kong actor Benz Hui’s baker daughter, Charmaine Hui, 25, will be tying the knot with her Singaporean fiancé Shane Sim, 27, at the end of next year.

Benz, 74, told HK01 that as the couple has many relatives, they plan to hold wedding banquets in both cities.

Charmaine met Shane through mutual friends when she was 18 and the pair dated for six years before he proposed last September,

According to Benz, Shane, who graduated from with a Master’s degree at The Hong Kong University of Science And Technology this year, is currently working in the banking industry.

When spoke to Charmaine after she got engaged, she shared that there were no plans to hold a wedding anytime soon as she would like to focus on growing her F&B business.

The entrepreneur recently expanded her business to Hong Kong, opening a pop-up for her Bakeaholic café at Artisan Lounge at in K-11 Musea shopping mall.

Since its launch on November 1, Benz’s famous friends like Michelle Yim, Mary HonBen Wong, Charmaine Sheh, and  Dayo Wong have dropped by to show their support.

Charmaine started Bakeholic as a home-based business in June 2020 when the pandemic foiled her plans to pursue her Masters in the UK.

She opened her first café near their Yishun home six months later, followed by a second outlet and mod cha chaan teng Juju at Wheelock Place last year.

The past two years, Benz reportedly splashed “HK$6-7mil" (about S$1mil-$1.2mil) on Charmaine’s three eateries.

When asked if he plans to further invest in Charmaine's F&B empire, he shared that her business is doing well and she “can handle it herself”.
