Best-Dressed Stars At The Asian Academy Creative Awards 2022: Kenneth Ma, Elaine Yiu, Carrie Wong, Chanon Santinatornkul & More

The most stylish celeb OOTDs at the two-night ceremony.

Stars from around the region glammed up and gathered in Singapore for the Asian Academy Creative Awards which was held at Chijmes Hall on Dec 7 and 8. While most of the celebs were only present for the second night of the awards, Bobby Tonelli and Munah Bagharib hosted on both nights and had to wear the same outfit twice. Gulp. Here are our favourite looks from the ceremonies.

Quan Yifeng

Veteran host Yifeng, who was decked in a Maggie Ma pantsuit with an oversized bow, sparkly red heels and earring on one ear, may not have won Best Entertainment Host, but this spunky-chic look earned her one of two best-dressed (fashion experts choice) titles of the night

Kenneth Ma

Not just another black tux. The TVB star, who was nominated for Best Actor, injected some fun to his look, donning a polka dot shirt instead of a usual white one.

Kayly Loh

We almost didn't recognise on Best Supporting Actress nominee Kayly with her slicked-back blond hair and slinky, sparkly cutout gown. It might just be the sexiest we’ve seen her.

Carrie Wong

From the structured shoulders to the daring high slit and seemingly plunging neckline (there's a nude-coloured fabric modestly covering her cleavage), we love everything about this sexy-chic number from Mônot. Carrie completed her look with Cartier bling.

Mark Lee

Mark, who won Best Comedy Performance for the Ministry of Communications & Information web series It's All Your Fault, shows us that you don't have to wear a black suit to look stylish at an awards show.

Desmond Tan

At one glance, Desmond's navy Dior pinstripe suit looks safe. But look closer, you'll notice the subtle details. And his shirt comes with thumbholes. Very cool.

Pierre Png

Meanwhile, Best Actor nominee Pierre kept things classic in a Hugo Boss black and white tux.

Munah Bagharib

Red carpet host Munah served serious Wonder Woman vibes. Styled by fellow AAA host Hirzi Zulkiflie, she looked extra fashun in her backless, hand-hammered aluminum bra (it's made by metal fabricator Matthias Yong of Baremetalco). She paired her chest armour with  a drapey skirt for a soft yet powerful look.

Amy Cheng

Amy, on the other hand, looked like a modern-day Greek goddess in her flowy gown, gold heels and and accessories.

Hirzi Zulkiflie

Hands down the most eye-catching look at the ceremony. Host Hirzi’s half blazer (love the statement shoulders), half sarong ensemble, held together by a custom stainless steel corset belt by Baremetalco, showed off his no-holds-barred style. Well deserving of the night's other best-dressed award.

Elaine Yiu

The TVB actress, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, piled on the glitz and drama with an iridescent halter mini with a gigantic train.

Chanon Santinatornkul

Thai idol Chanon (yes, the one who starred in Chinese drama Blowing in the Wind alongside Eleanor Lee), who was nominated for Best Actor, channelled Gatsby glamour in a deep red patterned tux.

Denise Camillia Tan

Our dream wedding gown right there. With its figure-skimming mermaid silhouette to the cutout, this minimalist number from fashion label NDB is understated perfection.

Benjamin Kheng

Not one to stick to style rules, Benjamin, who performed at the ceremony, looked effortless in an avant-garde Dior wrap blazer. He completed his all-black look with a beaded necklace by homegrown jewellery brand Yuli.

Jumpol Adulkittiporn

Is that Ben's suit in white? Not that the Thai star and Best Supporting Actor nominee's fans care. He was voted best-dressed star of the night.

Yeo Yann Yann

Best Actress Nominee Yann Yann is sheer perfection in this black Versace number which looks equal parts elegant and sexy.

Bobby Tonelli

Yes, this is Bobby, not Clark Kent.

Ayden Sng

While most celebs opted for more formal fits, Ayden kept his look fun and fresh. He even went the extra mile and donned a structured cowl neck top.
