Yes, it may seem like everyone’s travelling in June, but that’s not to say that those who are staying in Singapore won’t be kept busy. Not with the slew of events that are returning, many of which have been on a two-year hiatus, no thanks to the pandemic. Not sure where to start? Here’s a handy guide to the best events happening in Singapore in June 2022.

GastroBeats 2022
If you’re all about food, live performances and all-round good vibes, boy, are you in for a treat at GastroBeats, which makes its return from June 3 to 26. There’s much to eat, play, see and do at the massive food and fun extravaganza, which covers a sprawling 14,200 sqm at the Bayfront Event Space. Full details here.

i Light Singapore 2022
Three weeks of psychede-lit installations dotted around Marina Bay await you at the sustainable light festival which hasn't seen the light of day for two years. The eighth edition of the fest happens from June 3 to 26 from 7.30pm to 11pm every night (extended hours to 12am on Fridays and Saturdays), and will feature artworks of professional and student artists that aren’t just here to look great on photos — they’re meant to raise awareness on sustainability and inspire visitors to adopt a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle. UFC 275: Teixeira vs Prochazka
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back in Singapore, and things are about to get exciting with two world title matches on the cards. This time, light heavyweight world champion Glover Teixeira dukes it out against No. 2 Jiri Prochazka; and women’s flyweight champ Valentina Shevchenko takes on rising star Taila Santos who’s on a four-fight winning streak. This is the inaugural UFC pay-per-view event held in Southeast Asia, but if you prefer to watch it live at the Sports Hub, limited tickets are still available.

Clarins in the City
Here’s a roving experiential pop-up for beauty fans. Over four weeks, the Clarins experiential truck will make pitstops at four locations islandwide — Paya Lebar Quarter, Hillion, Canberra Plaza and Suntec City. At each stop, visitors will receive a Beauty Passport to take part in various immersive activities, receive Clarins product samples, while getting teleported to various major cities of the world, from the sidewalk cafes in Paris to the hustle and bustle of the Shibuya crossing. Beauty advisors are on standby for one-on-one consultations to delve deeper into various skin concerns, and to dole out personalised sample kits and a Clarins-inspired cold brew from Hook Coffee.

Heineken Silver Smooooth Warehouse Party
It’s time to bust out those beer-y smooth moves ’cos Heineken’s throwing a warehouse party to celebrate the brand’s new brew, Heineken Silver, touted to be a smooth easy-to-drink beer. Limited to 3,000 party-goers (who’ll be among the first in Singapore to try Heineken Silver), the shindig will be held at the cavernous Pasir Panjang Power Station. Expect epic gritty-cool warehouse party vibes with international artists such as Australian electronic duo Flight Facilities and Berlin-based DJ Palms Trax taking the decks. Besides doing a SafeEntry check-in, revellers must also have a negative pre-event test result (online or offline) with a 24-hour validity to gain entry.

Sunset Cinema
If watching movies in the sunset at the beach sounds like a great idea to you, you’ll want to mark out your calendars from June 23 to July 10 when Hendrick’s Sunset Cinema is happening on Tanjong Beach. The popular outdoor cinema festival, which returns after a two-year hiatus, will screen 11 acclaimed films this year, including House of Gucci and A Quiet Place IIFull details here.

The Snoopy Adventure at Changi Airport
Cool off in sub-zero temperatures and bask in snowfall at a double-storey Peanuts-themed snowhouse. Over here, you can enjoy a 10m-long snow luge ride, zip down a snow slide, dig snow trenches with excavators and get a selfie with a life-sized Charlie Brown ice sculpture. Sure, each pass gets one adult and one child just 20 to 25 minutes in the snowhouse, but that’s more than enough time to pretend you’re on a winter holiday somewhere else in the world. Movies in the Sky at Marina Bay Sands
Take movie nights to the next level, literally, with a series of outdoor movie screenings atop Marina Bay Sands. Happening Thursdays to Saturdays in June and July, the silent cinema experience lets you enjoy a slew of 12 acclaimed films with your own headphones connected to the audio on the big screen. Kick back and relax on a recliner floor sofa, maybe buy some light bites from CÉ LA VI’s kiosk next to the screenings and watch movies against the backdrop of the Singapore skyline. The series kicks off on June 9 with a screening of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Other films lined up include Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hidden Figures. Each screening is limited to 100 people, so it goes without saying that pre-purchasing tickets is a must.

Wellness Festival
Need a little #selfcare time? How about 10 days of wellness and holistic living experiences and festivals? The Wellness Festival will feature a whopping 120 physical and virtual wellness offerings and experiences from June 3-12, from wellness workshops to fitness sessions.

Highlights include The Wellness Sensorium at The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay (Jun 3-12). This multi-sensory pop-up sprawled over six zones brimming with experiences to promote mindfulness and wellness — think light and sound baths, free workouts, wellness talks and even stone-stacking exercises. For a little sun, sand and wellness, check out the inaugural Zentosa Fest at Sentosa (Jun 3-30). Expect over 50 wellness experiences happening around Sentosa — even the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia on the island will be transformed into a Stress Stop, where meditation, breathwork and sound bathing sessions will be held. The hub of activity is at the Zentosa Festival Village at Palawan Green (Jun 3-19), where a slew of masterclasses, fitness workouts and outdoor performances will take place. More info here.

The Singapore Turf Club Riding Centre is also holding an Equine Wellness Programme (Jun 3-12), where participants can learn more about horses, horse grooming and leading techniques and do some horse-riding over a simple course. Equine therapy is said to help with emotional, physical and cognitive support through interaction with horses. Each group-based session is three hours long and prices start from $180. Children’s Season at ACM: Into the Night
Need new ways to entertain the kids during the June holidays? Take them to the inaugural night-themed Children’s Season at Asians Civilisations Museum (ACM). Get hands-on at interactive installations such as a time-travelling journey in the galleries, kick back at storytelling sessions, or pick up a trail booklet and make new discoveries.
