Carina Lau Reportedly Selling 3-Storey Shanghai Apartment With Swimming Pool For S$38mil
The unit has five bedrooms, four massive halls, and Instagram-worthy panoramic views.
Hongkong actress Carina Lau is one of those folks who collects real estate like you and I might collect stamps (wait, do people still do that?), and she usually seems to have pretty good luck in turning a profit from selling them.
The 56-year-old and her husband Tony Leung, 59, are said to own at least 10 pieces of luxury property with an estimated total market value of 900mil yuan (S$190.5mil) in Hongkong alone.
The couple also lives in a HK$200mil (S$34.5mil) mansion that they bought over 15 years ago.
Power #couplegoals
Recently, a real estate agent in China claimed that Carina has listed a duplex unit in Shimao Riviera Garden, a residential community in Shanghai, for 180mil yuan (S$38.1mil).
According to reports, the apartment has three floors and covers an area of 30,000 sq ft.
The reason it’s so huge is ‘cos in addition to having five bedrooms and four massive halls, it has its own swimming pool and outdoor garden.
What’s more, the unit is located on the top floor of the building and, thanks to its strategic location along the Huangpu River, boasts a gorgeous panoramic view of the world-famous Bund skyline.

Those halls really are big
Plenty of outdoor space
That said, it hasn’t actually been verified if the apartment actually belongs to Carina and/or Tony.
When Shimao Riviera Garden was first launched in 2002, Tony was invited to be their celebrity ambassador, so it’s possible that real estate agents were simply associating the property with Carina in order to attract buyers.
We wouldn’t be surprised if she actually owns the place, though, given her illustrious history of snapping up property.
In 1995, she bought an apartment in May Tower, which is located in Hongkong’s upscale Mid-Levels area and is now worth NT$348mil (S$16.9mil). She now uses it exclusively for entertaining guests and refuses to sell it as it reminds her of her late pal and former neighbour Leslie Cheung.
The star, who does not have any children, also gave a 7,100 sq ft villa to her godson, Chinese actor He Jun’s 13-year-old son Kang Kang, as a gift.
Can Carina be our godma too?
