Chinese Actor Wang Dong's Wife Just Called Him Out For Going MIA On Her Even Though Their Daughter Is Only 6 Months Old

His wife says this is the third time he’s “disappeared" in the past six months.

Chinese actor Wang Dong is making waves online, and not in a good way.

The 43-year-old made his showbiz debut over 20 years ago, and seemed to have finally gotten his big break earlier this year, playing Ning Qing in the period drama The Blue Whisper, which stars A-listers like Dilraba Dilmurat.

Unfortunately, it seems like what little positive press he’s garnered has been eclipsed by the drama around his personal life.

On April 5, a Weibo user, who goes by Annepple, posted a number of damning allegations against the actor, accusing him of abandoning her and their six-month-old daughter.

Not much is known about Wang Dong's wife, nor their marriage. It is believed that Annepple is currently a stay-at-home mum.

In a series of posts, where she tagged Wang Dong’s Weibo handle, as well as his official hashtag, she revealed that their daughter Cindy has not “seen her dad for yet another month”, and that she hoped for Wang Dong to “return quickly” after seeing the posts. She added that Wang Dong has gone MIA three separate times in the six months since their daughter’s birth.

And before you think that the posts are a work of fiction made up by some overly obsessed fan, Annepple has “proof" that she’s indeed in a relationship with the actor.

She posted a video of a sleepy Wang Dong lying in bed with their baby daughter, writing that Cindy has “grown two baby teeth” since the last time Wang Dong saw her.

“Hubby, I know that you might be very busy, hope that you’ll be able to call home or update [us] despite your busy schedule, our baby and I both miss you,” she wrote.

Unfortunately, all of Annepple’s posts have since been deleted.

According to media reports, however, cracks in Wang Dong’s marriage seemed to have started appearing since January this year.

On January 20, Annepple reportedly posted a screenshot of a text conversation, where Wang Dong, whose messages are in green, appeared to be asking someone to check how much alimony he would have to fork out to Annepple if a divorce would happen, along with the caption: “Is this for real? Why would you do this to me…”

As of press time, Wang Dong still has not addressed the elephant in the room, with no mention of his wife or daughter on his official Weibo.

His last post was on April 12, where he shared a clip from The Blue Whisper.

Netizens have flooded his post with comments, asking the actor to “quickly contact his wife”.

One of the top comments reads: “Immortal Master [Wang Dong’s role in The Blue Whisper], your wife’s looking for you on Weibo. This is really my first time seeing someone using Weibo to seek out their [missing] husband.”
