Chinese woman who got deported from Singapore after insulting nurse and arguing with police is a popular influencer in China
The 29-year-old, who was deported on Wednesday (Nov 8), has more than 250,000 followers on Douyin… but few fans following the incident.
Influencers behaving badly and getting involved in scandals often make the news.
Earlier in October, a Chinese woman named Han Feizi went viral after uploading two videos of her arguing with local investigative officers (IO) on Douyin.
The first video had her facing one of the IOs with Han Feizi refusing to answer when asked multiple times if she had berated a nurse using vulgarities. Instead, Han Feizi, who said she had been in a car accident, went on to argue that she was “refused treatment for not being Singaporean.”

The video also showed her demanding for the IO’s identification while complaining about the three-hour wait to get treatment at the hospital after being hit by a car.
After the video went viral, netizens came out to reveal that Han Feizi is quite a well-known influencer in China, boasting more than 250,000 followers on Douyin.
It was later revealed by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) that Han Feizi first entered Singapore in July and had applied to work as a clerk for KDL Elements. However, she never worked there and instead freelanced as a hostess.
She was already on the police’s radar as she had previously been involved in an altercation with a security guard at The Sail @ Marina Bay where she was staying.

Before being charged and arrested for being a public nuisance, Han Feizi took to Douyin and said she was simply, “fighting back hard” and encouraged her followers to “not feel inferior just because you are abroad and that there is no excuse for discrimination…”
However, many of her followers and countrymen seem to disagree with her, criticising Han Feizi for “being spoilt by China” and that local laws should be respected when going abroad.
We are sure her tune has changed after being deported on Wednesday (Nov 8).
Han Feizi had served a 40-day stint (she was released early due to her remand period and good behaviour) in jail, charged fine of $600 and will be permanently banned from working in Singapore.
