The Cutest Tiny 2-Seat Coffee Kiosk Just Opened Along Orchard Road

Orchard Road has no lack of cafes, but new kid on the block Little Grain Coffee may be the tiniest, cutest one yet. The takeaway kiosk, which recently opened outside Lucky Plaza, has just two al-fresco counter seats.

“Too tiny to work space”

The cafe was opened by the folks behind Orchard Central cafe Grain Alley, who called the kiosk a “too tiny to work space” on its Instagram page. They also run another sister concept, Grain Works, at Dhoby Ghaut MRT station serving Mediterranean food.



The menu

Little Grain Coffee’s menu offers a selection of coffees and teas, like Fast Black ($2.80), Flat White ($5.80), Spanish Latte ($5.80) and Dark Hojicha ($4.80), plus very reasonably-priced alcoholic options such as Pilsner Urquell ($5.80) and Guinness Stout ($5.80) on tap.



Free top-up for oat milk

If you’re lactose-intolerant, you can get oat milk for your coffee at no extra charge. It’s also worth noting that the kiosk is helmed by personable, polite baristas who were unfailingly smiley in the sweltering heat.



Caffe Latte, $5.80

Our hot caffe latte with oat milk was decent, though the refreshing iced Fresh Peppermint Tea ($4.80) was probably more suitable for the balmy weather.



Little Greek Salad, $8.80

There are also light bites like a Little Greek Salad, packed in a takeaway-friendly paper box. It’s not the most authentic Greek salad we’ve tried (it came with baby spinach instead of the traditional cucumbers and onions), and we wish we got more than a few bits of crumbled feta. There’s a small ledge in front of the two seats for you to perch your food and drinks on.



Croissant, $3.80

The menu apparently also offers a selection of pastries like a Ham & Cheese Croissant and avocado toast, though we saw only a so-so plain croissant on display.



7 of 8Cakes, $6.80 a slice

There are sliced cakes in flavours like Double Chocolate and Seasalt Caramel, though we gave it a miss because they looked pretty generic.
