Cold Stone Creamery S'pore Closing Down, Now Offering Discounted Ice Cream

Oh no.

2019 has been a tough year for F&B, with longtime brands like Bake Cheese Tart, Pablo Cheese Tart and Dome Cafe all exiting the Singapore market. And only three days into 2020, American ice cream parlour chain Cold Stone Creamery has announced that it is shuttering all of its three outlets here on January 31.

1 of 2 Ice cream no more

The brand, which set up its first shop in Singapore in 2009, is well-known for its customisable ice cream bowls, which are filled with ice cream that is chopped and folded on a frozen granite stone. It also previously offered funky local flavours like Nasi Lemak, Chendol and Milo Dinosaur.

Its current three outlets are located at VivoCity (pictured), Waterway Point in Punggol and HillV2 at Hillview Rise. They are franchised by Refinery Concepts, the F&B arm of Far East Organisation which also runs other popular eateries here like Dean & Deluca, Fat Cow and The Marmalade Pantry.

2 of 2 There will be farewell discounts

From now till its closing, Cold Stone Creamery is offering its fans a discount for five of its most popular flavours: Banana Caramel Crunch, Strawberry Banana Rendezvous, Birthday Cake Remix, Chocolate Devotion and Oreo Overload. The flavours are going for $5 each (usual price $6.50) in a 4oz 'Like It' size for both dine-in and takeaway orders. You can top up $1.20 for a plain waffle bowl or $1.90 for a chocolate-dipped waffle bowl. If you buy at least two cups of ice cream, you also get a free limited-edition cooler bag, while stocks last.

Cold Stone Creamery's outlets are at #B1-K13 Waterway Point, #02-K1 VivoCity and #01-01 HillV2. www.coldstonecreamery.com.sg.
