Christmas is upon us, but folks who love bak kwa can attest that the barbecued pork is for all seasons (check out our festive Brussels sprout bak kwa recipe here).

Just in time for year-end feasting, bak kwa purveyor New Eastern Kim Tee has launched a new Bak Kwa Fries (special launch price of $6 a box).

1 of 2 It’s not potato fries

The bak kwa fries are so-named as they are barbecued pork cut into bite-sized strips. According to Kim Tee, the ‘fries’ are made with its signature pork bak kwa, except they are “thicker and juicier”. The bak kwa is “freshly prepared” at its flagship Serangoon Gardens and Chinatown outlets.

The bak kwa strips are packed in a takeaway-friendly fast food-style container. Very cute. Kim Tee also offers its bak kwa and other finger food like Hei Zhi and Xiang Bing for home delivery via its online store. Delivery is free for orders above $250, $5 for orders above $60 and $10 for orders below $60.

Bak Kwa Fries available at Kim Tee’s Serangoon Gardens & Chinatown outlets, and online at www.kimtee.com.sg.
