You Can Now Rent An Old Chang Kee Mobile Food Truck For Your Wedding

Craving Old Chang Kee but there isn’t an outlet near you? Well, look no further, literally, as you can now rent its mobile food truck for school or office visits, open event areas or even cater to weddings and private condominiums.

Rental prices for the truck, which is nicknamed O' My Darling after OCK's curry puffs, start from a minimum of $2,000, depending on the menu and timing selected (a minimum booking duration of four hours applies).

You also need to make sure that the area where you want the truck to be parked has enough space (about the equivalent of five parking lots) for the food truck to start serving its fried goodies.

The truck has plied its rounds at events like the Trump-Kim Summit in 2018 (we wonder if Kim Jong-un had chowed down on an OCK curry puff?), the NDP and Istana’s 150th commemorative anniversary.

The mobile food truck is outfitted with its own generator, chiller, fryer and serving station.

For school and office visits, Old Chang Kee is mainly offering a customised bento set. The bento will include sides such as dry curry chicken, sambal long bean, fishballs, curry nuggets, ikan billis, peanuts, and chilli.

For weddings, Old Chang Kee offers catering with table service. Guests will be able to enjoy nosh like satay, nasi briyani with sambal chicken, sambal vegetables and Nyonya kueh for dessert. Beverages like coffee, tea, soft drinks and bottled drinks are also provided. The menu can also be customised to suit the event theme.

Or you can just order a spread of fried finger food from Old Chang Kee, such as its classic Curry ’O curry puff, Chicken Wings, Fishball OnStiks and Nuggets. Prices for the fried items are the same as what you’d pay at OCK outlets.
