Ex TVB Actress Sonija Kwok’s 9-Year-Old Daughter Is Looking More & More Like Her

It looks like we may have a budding contender for the title of “most beautiful second-gen star”, which has been conferred to Chingmy Yau’s eldest daughter Sham Yuet and, more recently, Christy Chung’s youngest daughter Cayla.

Recently, former TVB actress Sonija Kwok posted a photo of herself with her husband, Chinese martial arts choreographer Zhu Shaojie, and their nine-year-old daughter Kylie to wish everyone a Happy New Year (see below).

According to reports, there was a time when Kylie was the poor victim of extremely cruel comments about how she has supposedly “wasted” her mixed-race mum’s genes — Sonija is three-quarters Cantonese Chinese and one-quarter English — by looking more like her dad.

Seriously? Some people need to make “I will be nicer to kids” their New Year’s resolution, but we digress.

In any case, we hope those haters are eating their words after seeing the latest pic of Kylie.

Now, netizens can’t stop fawning over the child’s sweet looks, with media reports pointing out how she’s getting prettier with age and resembling her famous mother more and more.

Last year, Sonija posted a picture of Kylie and wrote, “I have made a copy of me”, inspiring others to compile pics of other celebs and their lookalike mini-mes, so it’s not exactly a secret that the girl takes after mum.

Kylie is now in Primary 4 and attends Sonija’s alma mater, Holy Angels Canossian School in Hongkong.

The girl is said to be very active and requested to take up lessons in ballet, gymnastics, piano, taekwondo, swimming, and dancing.

However, Sonija was worried that Kylie wouldn’t be able to concentrate on her studies, so she pulled her out of all the extra classes except for dancing.

The star, who took a step back from showbiz after tying the knot in 2011, once said: “My daughter is the most beloved in my heart. Sometimes I’m strict with her, and sometimes I treat her like a friend.”
