Extraordinary Attorney Woo Star Park Eun Bin Wants To Visit Singapore Again 'Cos “Singapore, Shiok”

8days.sg met the 30-year-old Singlish-speaking Korean actress, who was in town for her fan meet, yesterday (Nov 11).

You know what sounds like an 11:11 wish come true? Getting to be in the same room as Korean star Park Eun Bin.

The 30-year-old actress, whose role as a genius lawyer with autism in Korean drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo propelled her to the A-list, was here in Singapore for her first fan meet at Capitol Theatre last night (Nov 11).

And guess what was the first thing she said when she met the media at Voco Orchard Hotel?

"Thank you for coming lah."

From that moment, it became clear to us that Eun Bin was all ready to show off her knowledge of Singlish.

When asked about what she thought about Singapore since its her first visit here, Eu Bin, via a translator, said in Korean: “I think it’s very clean, very nice and city-like, and very environmentally friendly."

She then lapsed into Singlish, giggling, "Singapore, shiok!"

Lamenting that her trip this time is too short as it's for work, Eun Bin went on to share what she wants to do on her next visit here.

“I’ve never been to any Universal Studios, so I want to start with the Singapore one. I was also recommended to visit the Botanic Gardens," she said.

What Eu Bin will definitely try on this trip before flying back to Korea is our food, especially chilli crab.

“That’s my lunch tomorrow and I’m super excited about it," she beamed.

While she's happy to cross eating chilli crab off her list of to-dos, nothing makes her happier than to meet her Singaporean fans.

“Singapore is the one country I’ve always wanted to visit because everyone recommends it. And it is extra special now that I’m here not just for a tour, but also to meet the people who love me. I’m super happy. Please enjoy my fan meet lah, I love you lah (laughs)," she added.

When talking about her breakthrough role as the titular character in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Eun Bin professed that the drama's popularity was something "out of [her] expectations."

"I’m a little surprised by the positive reactions. And thanks to the drama, I got exposed to international fans. I was really surprised to find out that it wasn't just the Koreans who felt this way but also fans from different countries. So that was an extraordinary experience," she smiled, making sure we all know that the pun was fully intended

So how does Eun Bin unwind these days, now that she's one of Korea's most in-demand stars?

Well, "by doing nothing," she revealed.

"I don’t do anything outside of work, so doing nothing is how I take a break. (Chuckles) I get energy from working. I feel that every drama, character and scene has a different energy, and I keep myself motivated by my achievements in each role I play," added Eun Bin, who started her showbiz career as a child actor in 1998.

Eun Bin also shared that she doesn't have any concrete plans for 2023 as of now.

“One thing about myself that you guys may not know is that I don’t plan far ahead because if things don't turn out the way I want them to, I have a tendency to blame myself for not being able to do the things I've planned."

There is one thing that she wants to achieve in 2023 though.

"One thing I always keep in mind is that next year, I'll make sure that I am healthy and happy. That's the one mantra that I have in life."

"Be happy lah," she said with a big smile on her face.
