Fan runs into Tony Leung, 60, checking in at airport; Internet notes how low-key he is

Why did he fly Business and not First Class, they wondered.

Despite being one of Asia's most famous actors, Tony Leung, 60, still appears overwhelmed by all the glitz and glamour of showbiz

He's
known to be super low-key, and once revealed that he has social anxiety, which explains why he enjoys spending time alone.

That, however, doesn’t take away the fact that he is super recognisable in public.

Recently, a fan was lucky enough to run into Tony at the Hong Kong airport, and she went on to share a couple of shots taken of him on the sly on social media.

“That day, I ran into the God [Tony Leung] at the airport. I really wanted to go forward and ask for a pic but I felt bad disturbing him. So I watched him from afar,” wrote the fan.

Said fan even took a ‘selfie’ with Tony from where she was standing, while the star could be seen checking into his flight in the background.

The lucky fan was very respectful of Tony's personal space

One of the things that stood out most to netizens was how Tony was checking in by himself, and did not have an assistant with him.

What also caught their attention was the pair of Japanese-brand shoes that Tony had on. He has been spotted wearing the same pair on many occasions. While that may be a common thing for us normies, we should remind you that the actor has an estimated net worth of US$20mil (S$26.5mil).

Basically, he could have a new pair of shoes for every single occasion if he wanted.

We can't say we're surprised though. This is the same guy who has worn the same S$168 Adidas tracksuit to numerous events for the past five years.

But seriously, why isn't he flying First Class?

Netizens also noticed that Tony was checking into Singapore Airlines’ Business Class instead of First Class.

Many were impressed by how down-to-earth Tony appeared to be.

“Real superstars are all very low-key,” wrote a netizen.
