Gillian Chung’s Ex-Husband Michael Lai, Who Vowed Never To Marry Again, Reportedly Engaged To Girlfriend Of Less Than 1 Year

Less than two years after his very public divorce from Hongkong singer-actress Gillian Chung, 41, Taiwanese doctor Michael Lai, 32, is said to be walking down the aisle again.
According to reports, Michael had proposed to his girlfriend Alice with a Cartier diamond ring while celebrating her birthday on the first day of Chinese New Year.
Alice shared a pic of Cartier’s iconic little red box on her private Instagram account with the caption: “Yes, I do.”
It's gonna be a low-key wedding
It is understood that the couple will simply register their marriage and will not hold a wedding banquet.
However, when asked about the wedding rumours, Michael denied them, only saying that he has a “stable partner”.
Gillian’s manager Mani Fok also declined to comment on the speculations.
Dating rumours sparked last August
Little is known about Alice except that she used to be a flight attendant with Emirates Airlines, but now holds a corporate job.
The couple have been dating for less than a year and though they have shared pics of each other on social media, their faces are always hidden from full view.
Last August, Michael sparked rumours of a new relationship when he posted a photo of him with his parents and a mystery woman (pic above), whose her face was hidden with a peach emoji.
At that time, netizens and the media had speculated that the woman is socialite and Dazzling Cafe founder Janet Yang, 46, who had been spotted out and about with Michael.
Gillian and Michael got married in 2018 and split up just 14 months later
If these new wedding rumours are true, it will be Michael’s third marriage.
He tied the knot with former China Airlines flight attendant Ivy Chao, who is said to resemble Taiwanese actress Ariel Lin, in 2016. The couple called it quits six months later.
In 2018, Michael married Gillian in a glitzy wedding after dating for just two months.
He was devastated when they divorced 14 months later and vowed never to marry again.
