HK Media Think Yoyo Chen & Vincent Wong’s Rumoured Marriage Problems Are Causing Her Mental Health To Suffer
The TVB actress was recently spotted going for therapy at a medical centre.
There’s been a lot of speculation surrounding the state of TVB actress Yoyo Chen’s almost 10-year marriage to actor Vincent Wong.
Talk has been rife that the couple, who have a nine-year-old daughter together, are living apart and that Yoyo, 40, doesn’t want to reconcile with Vincent, 38.
Now, it seems that her marital problems are taking a toll on her mental health, at least that’s what the media thinks.
Recently, a solemn-looking Yoyo was seen visiting a medical centre that specialises in naturopathy in Tsim Sha Tsui.
According to reports, she is a regular at the centre and has been receiving craniosacral therapy there.
Through massage, the treatment is said to help relieve stress, tension and anxiety.
So what is causing Yoyo so much stress? It certainly can't be anything on the professional front since Yoyo’s career has been gaining steam in recent years.
She was nominated for Best Supporting actress for her role in 2020 TVB drama Life After Death and also gained recognition for her performance in last year's Plan B.
Earlier this year, she won TVB reality competition shows Top Sales, which saw artistes competing to see who is the best live stream salesperson, and Dub-of-War, which had stars battling it out with their voice acting skills.
According to reports, Yoyo was under tremendous stress when she was competing in Dub-of-War and would often cry.
She also had migraine attacks which would often led to her throwing up.
She also had a tough time on Top Sales. In one ep, broke down in front of the camera after a particularly bad showing. She then bawled again backstage and had to be comforted by host Carol Cheng.
Yoyo and Vincent, who got married in 2011, have had to deal with divorce rumours for a while now, with sources saying that it's his philandering ways that's causing trouble in their relationship.
Yoyo has declined to talk about their relationship in recent years and her lack of a reaction at Vincent's Best Actor win at this year's TVB Anniversary Awards only added fuel to the fire.
