HK Star Pakho Chau, 37, Has The Most Desired Hairstyle For Grooms In China

He started a trend known as the “Hongkong style three-seven part”.

If you’re looking to change up your hairstyle, here’s something you might want to look out for.

Hongkong star Pakho Chau, 37, recently made an appearance on Cantopop show Infinity and Beyond with Rainie Yang. The show, a collaboration between China's Mango TV and Hongkong's TVB, features singers like Hacken LeeGeorge Lam and Sally Yeh, all of whom perform classic Cantopop tunes.

While Pakho's performance was well-received, it turns out the singer is popular in China not for his songs or movies, but for his...  hairstyle.

Earlier this week, Pakho was a guest on Chinese talk show Sweet Tasks where the hosts brought up how iconic his hairstyle in China.

According to them, Pakho's hairstyle is called the “Hongkong-style three-seven part” (three-seven refers to the ratio in which he parts his hair) and is apparently the "Most Desired Hairstyle For Grooms" in China.

He's been sporting the same hairstyle for quite some time now

When asked how he feels about being a trendsetter, Pakho offered a surprisingly verbose reply about, well, his hair.

“Of course, I am very happy with the love I’m receiving from everyone I have people that I look up to and try to mimic too. Since a young age, I’ve watched many things and listened to many things, so when it comes to music, I tried to mimic Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung  how they sing and make music. After them, it was Nicholas Tse, who also writes songs and plays the guitar. It all contributed to the Pakho Chau of today. So I feel that it’s very normal for people to use my photo as a reference for their haircut, and I’m thankful to them for using my photo. I’m someone who uses others’ photos as reference to cut my hair too. All things come from a culmination of referencing others, and making it our own, and making it better,” he said.

Wait, are we still talking about hair here?

Remember guys, this sleek hairdo is known as the "three-seven part"
