How Much Can You Buy For $25? As Much As You Can Fit In 1 Bag At This Thrift Store Sale

Now this is where all those travel packing hacks could come in handy.

Thrift store and social enterprise The Reloved Collective (TRC) is holding a grab bag sale on Boxing Day (Dec 26) that isn’t just wallet- and eco-friendly, it’s also oodles of fun.  

How does it work? Customers first purchase a small, medium or large bag, priced at $25, $50 and $100 respectively. Fill it up with as many items as possible — any item is up for grabs, as long as it’s not a consignment item.

There are only two conditions: At the end of your shopping spree, make sure you can still grab the bag handles and that nothing spills out, and you’re good to go.

Depending on your scouring and, er, stuffing skills, you could be scoring great deals and bargains. After all, TRC sells preloved clothes and accessories and you never know what gems you might score. A quick scroll through their socials and you’ll spy items such as a Love, Bonito blazer and even MaxMara trousers among the items on sale. A selection of menswear items is also available.

Perhaps you’re new to thrifting and aren't buying enough to fill up a grab bag. Customers can still purchase individual preloved clothes and accessories from the store at 15 per cent off.

If you’ve already started decluttering for the new year and have items to donate instead, you’ll be delighted to know that the store is holding its annual holiday donation drive until the end of January 2023.

Items accepted include women and menswear, bags, shoes and accessories that are in good condition. To donate, DM The Reloved Collective on Instagram to schedule an appointment to donate your preloved goods. Ten per cent of the sales of preloved goods go to the Community Chest Singapore.
