Huo Zun’s Ex-Girlfriend, Who Accused Him Of Being A Serial Cheater, Arrested On Suspicion Of Extortion
She had demanded S$1.9m from the Chinese singer to keep mum about his alleged serial cheating.
Chen Lu, the ex-girlfriend of Chinese singer Huo Zun, was arrested on suspicion of extortion.
The dancer had accused Huo Zun of cheating on her throughout their nine-year relationship, and he was forced to drop out of talent competition Call Me By Fire and take an indefinite break from showbiz.
According to reports, Huo Zun, 30, filed a police report against his ex in August after she demanded 9mil yuan (S$1.9mil) from him to keep mum about his serial cheating.
Chen Lu was arrested on Wednesday (Dec 22) and has since been released on bail pending trial.
When contacted by the media, Huo Zun said that he is currently at home taking care of his ailing mother and will patiently wait for justice to be served.
Caught in the act
Last month, a video of Chen Lu and her pal Wang Meng allegedly extorting money from Huo Zun was made public.
The incident took place in May at Huo Zun’s office, three months before she went public with the cheating accusations.
In the clip, Chen Lu could be heard suggesting that Huo Zun “borrow money” to pay her since he “has so many good friends”. She also told him that he had until his birthday on Sep 18 to pay up.
