Iconic Japanese Musician Tetsuya Komuro, 63, Unrecognisable In New Pic, One Netizen Thought He Was A "Female Celeb"

Japanese music icon Tetsuya Komuro (小室哲哉), 63, is often regarded as the most successful and influential producer in Japanese music during the '90s.

However, Tetsuya’s reputation took a major hit following his divorce from his wife of 19 years, singer Keiko Yamada in 2021. 

According to reports, he allegedly had an affair with Keiko’s nurse while his wife was recovering from her surgery for a brain aneurysm. 

Though he initially refuted reports of the affair, Tetsuya announced that he would “retire from the music industry” to take responsibility for the commotion he had caused.

However, it seems like he has come out of retirement.

Tetsuya’s band, TM Network recently made a comeback, and started their domestic tour last month. 

Just last week (Aug 17), Tetsuya shared a picture of himself on Instagram, saying how “it was a shame” that he couldn’t have more of his fans watch his band perform. 

The thing that drew everyone’s attention, however, was not his caption, but the picture.

Dressed in a bright pink polo tee and sporting a blonde bob, Tetsuya was unrecognisable to his followers. In fact, some netizens likened him to an "auntie", with one even writing: “I was wondering which female celebrity this was.”

Another netizen also added that Tetsuya is “getting prettier and prettier”.
