Indiana Jones And Short Round Together Again: Harrison Ford And Ke Huy Quan Reunite At D23 Expo

Ke Huy Quan played Indiana Jones' sidekick Short Round in 1984's Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Doom.

 

Hold on to your potatoes, Dr Jones! 

Disney’s D23 Expo wasn’t just a platform to tease upcoming projects, it was also a place for reunions.

On Saturday (Sept 10), Harrison Ford was reunited with his Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom co-star Ke Huy Quan backstage.

Ke, who played pickpocket-turned-sidekick Short Round to Ford’s fedora-wearing archaeologist Indiana Jones in the 1984 movie, posted photos of them sharing a hug on Instagram.

“I love you, Indy,” Ke captioned his post. “Indiana Jones and Short Round reunited after 38 years.”

 

 

 

 

 

Ford, 80, was at the D23 to plug next year’s fifth (and still untitled) Indiana Jones instalment, while Ke, 51, was revealed as the new cast member of Season 2 of` Loki, which is currently in production. The Everything Everywhere All At Once actor is playing an employee with Time Variance Authority.  

Sharing a Deadline report of the casting announcement, Ke captioned, "So thrilled to join the Marvel Universe. I'm having an extraordinary time learning a few tricks from the God of Mischief."

 

 

Indiana Jones 5 will open in cinemas in June 2023 while Loki Season 2 will hit Disney+ next year.
