And Kate took the opportunity to muse about their nine-year marriage too.

"As we enter the ninth year of our marriage, we all have our flaws, and sometimes we might step onto each other's landmines. For example, I often turn a blind eye to his sensitive emotions, which causes him to roll his eyes. He often requests many things of me, [with stipulations] that I don't think I really need to follow, causing me to think that he's too naggy," she wrote.

"These personal shortcomings, I might not ever be able to change them (and it's probably the same for him), but, don't take the other party's sacrifices for granted, and express your gratitude every once in a while. These are the things that I cherish the most in our marriage," Kate went on to share.

"Sometimes, you might encounter things in life that causes you to be very tired and discouraged, but just one "thank you" or "you've worked hard", will really help to dissipate the storm clouds in your heart. No matter how tired, or busy, or painful it might be, it'll all be worth it," she wrote.

Sage advice for all couples out there.
