Insta-Buzz: What The Stars Were Up To This Week

Here are some of our favourite snaps from the past week.

This week, we see a major #throwback moment from Xiang Yun, as well as a celeb couple celebrating their 24th wedding anniversary. Oh, and there were some new job announcements too.

Romeo Tan shared a rare full-family pic

The actor and his family got together to celebrate his eldest brother's birthday, and took the opportunity to snap a nice picture together as well.

"A family portrait is not easy to come by since we are all busy earning a living, but I'm glad last night we shot this (sic)," he wrote.

Suhaimi Yusof started a new job

He might have just graduated from university, but Suhaimi's already landed himself a new job at Jamiyah Singapore, as their Director of Strategic Communication. Jamiyah is a Muslim non-profit that aims to provide welfare to the needy, regardless of race or religion.

Glenn Yong has a new job too

Celebs and their corporate jobs... just like Suhaimi, it seems like Glenn's landed himself a new job as the head of Marketing at a local media publishing platform.

Huang Shinan celebrated his 61st birthday

Now, isn't this sweet? Though Shinan is no longer active as an actor, many of his fellow celeb pals took to the comments section on Lingling's post to wish him a happy birthday, including Zoe Tay and Xu Bin.

Pity we didn't get to see a family pic of Shinan, Lingling, and their two sons, though.

Jeanette Aw's patisserie, Once Upon A Time, turned one

Yes, it's already been a year since Jeanette opened up her patisserie. Though it got tiring at times — Jeanette revealed in August last year that she was so tired she "blacked out" while baking — it looks like the actress has since found her footing.

Have you gotten a taste of her famed bakes yet?

Nurul Aini's daughters played dress-up with her clothes

"Every time I am getting ready, these 2 will be trying out my clothes and shoes," Nurul wrote in an IG story, capturing a sneaky video of her two daughters, Shaista and Shania pulling out clothes from her closet.

Just one of the perks of having a fashionista mum, right?

Ya Hui showed us easy ways to go green and save the Earth

The actress took over Mediacorp's Instagram account earlier this week as part of the Take The Green Pledge movement, where she showed us a couple of sustainable habits that she practises, like this one.

Fuss-free and simple, but with huge returns. We're totally taking a leaf out of Ya Hui's books, and packing our own reusable cutlery with us next time we dine out.

Xiang Yun was absolutely glowing in this throwback photo

According to the 60-year-old actress, this was taken when her daughter, Chen Yixin, was about 4... which would mean that Xiang Yun was around 40 at that time.

"Looking back now, my 40s were the most beautiful time in my life,"  she mused in her caption.

It's a gathering of Star Search alumni with Zoe Tay, Aileen Tan, and Lina Ng

Aileen and Zoe took part in the first-ever Star Search (Zoe emerged as the winner, while Aileen was the first runner-up), while Lina was the first runner-up in the 1993 edition of the show.

We can't wait to see what sparks will fly between the trio on upcoming drama Dark Angel!
