Insta-Buzz: What The Stars Were Up To This Week

Here are some of our favourite snaps from the past week.

National Day is just two days away and our celebs definitely got busy getting ready for our nation’s birthday. One star dyed his hair blue (why not red and white?) while another performed an all-time classic.

Dennis Chew had his first semester project showcase

The YES933 DJ, who is now studying at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, has completed his first semester project, and of course, his showbiz god-daughter Felicia Chin as well as her boyfriend Jeffrey Xu showed up to support him.

Yes, that magazine Felicia's holding is Dennis' pride and joy.

Yvonne Lim started work on her new drama

The Taiwan-based actress is making her comeback in upcoming Mediacorp drama Strike Gold and to mark being back on set, she posted a pic with Jin Yinji and ex-Mediacorp star Joey Swee

And if you're wondering about her smudged lipstick, well, Yvonne is said to be  playing a “crazy woman” in the drama.

Joakim Gomez dyed his hair blue for the upcoming NDP show

Looks like the 987FM jock, who has hosted the National Day Parade for the past few years, blue us away with his new hair colour.

Yahui and Chen Liping went on a gals trip to Australia

The showbiz besties clearly had a great time in Melbourne, indulging in food and the beautiful scenery.

The My Star Bride cast and crew had a gathering

It’s been a year since the hit Mediacorp drama ended its run but the cast, including Xu Bin, Chantalle Ng, Lin Meijiao, Cynthia Koh, and the crew are as close as ever.

Felicia Chin embarked on life as an OL

The actress, who left Mediacorp in June to join faith-based company Hai Hao Ma, took to her Instagram to document her first week of work.

“Sometimes we may feel that change is frightening,” confessed Feli.

“I’ve started on a new journey, I'm going to school and then back to work [in the office]. Everything’s very fresh and I’m still learning. Thank you first week.”

Romeo Tan had an adorably blur conversation with Felicia Chin

Meanwhile, Romeo had a very cute way of wishing Feli good luck for her new job.

When he asked her where she was working at, she replied “Hai Hao Ma", which is the name of her workplace.

However, Romeo mistook that as Felicia asking if he’s doing okay.

“I’m well, gonna get busy soon,” he replied.

“Haha the company I’m working at is called Hai Hao Ma, but I do care about you too,” Feli wrote back.

Richie Koh and Desmond Ng reunited as Tian Cai and Hong Mao Dan

The actors, who star in Mediacorp drama Your World In Mine, visited different hospitals on National Nurses Day as part of a TCA meet-and-greet for fans.

After the event, Richie and Desmond took to Instagram to reprise their roles as Tian Cai and Hong Mao Gege, reminding everyone to continue supporting the show.

Chen Xi went to a cosplay event as No Face

“Was a blast last weekend as it was my first time cosplaying, didn’t have much budget so… Went for the easiest choice,” said the son of Xiang Yun and Edmund Chen.

“But it was fun running around as Kaonashi and giving chocolates to kids.”

Rui En and Taufik Batisah performed 'Reach Out For The Skies' at the National Day concert

The pair reunited to perform the 2005 NDP theme song at this year’s National Day Concert at Gardens By The Bay.

“Felt so alive just now. Thank you all who turned up and stood when we requested it. BEST NATIONAL DAY EVER,” wrote Rui En.
