Insta-buzz: What the stars were up to this week

Here are some of our favourite snaps from the past week.

While some of our stars celebrated birthdays this week, others took the time to recharge and have fun overseas.

Scroll down to find out who went diving off an island in Indonesia, and who are two DJs who spent the week exploring Turkey.

YES 933 DJs Hazelle Teo and Zhong Kunhua asked a Turkish waiter to guess their age...

... And he couldn't be more wrong.

He guessed that Hazelle is 34, when she actually just turned 29 last week. He also paid Kunhua, 37, a huge compliment by thinking that he is only 19.

The jocks spent the week working and doing their radio broadcast all the way from Turkey, sharing many pics of the scenery and food on their social media at the same time.

This hilarious situation however, got us all chuckling at our screens. Kunhua posted a photo of how they looked that day, with the two poll options "The waiter eyes tia (paste) stamp" and "Looking great at whatever age". Which one would you pick?

Class 95 DJ Yasminne Cheng went diving in Lembeh

Yasminne spent the week on an island in Indonesia relaxing and deep-sea diving.

She's clearly a diving pro 'cos just look at how at ease she is somersaulting underwater.

"Felt more glamorous than it actually turned out," joked Yazzy after she completed the feat.

And yes, she also did the viral Jisoo 'Flower' dance underwater. The Little Mermaid who?

Chen Yixin turned 23

The star celebrated her birthday at a Japanese restaurant with her parents, Xiang Yun and Edmund Chen, her brother, Chen Xi, and her boyfriend, Gavin Teo

Besides receiving a ton of wishes from her celeb friends such as Kimberly Chia and Ya Hui, her loved ones also dedicated birthday posts to her.

"My forever little princess, happy birthday. Wishing you good health and happiness," wrote Edmund post, while Xiang Yun said "the best kinds of celebrations are the ones where you get to enjoy a feast with family". We totally agree.

Sharon Au celebrated her furkid Rudon's birthday

Speaking of birthdays, Sharon took to her page to dedicate this really sweet message to her precious cat: " Happy 3rd birthday my dearest Rudon, my light, my all. I love you so much. Thank you for being alive I am so blessed I didn’t lose you last year on the most traumatic night of our lives. Thank you for waiting for me to come home."

We all know that Sharon did not have the easiest time last year, what with her apartment in Paris getting broken into for the second time since she moved to the city. Thankfully, Rudon remained safe throughout the ordeal and the two are now able to look past the unfortunate incident.

Just how tall is Tyler Ten?!

Okay, we all know the Star Search alum, who stands at 1.9m, is a tall drink of water. But being able to touch the ceiling of a shopping mall? With your head? How many of us can actually so to that?

"One of the many reasons why I’m getting a hunchback," joked the star in the comments.

Cheryl Chou hung out with her bestie... and her bestie's cat

Remember when Sunny Side Up Ling Ying brought a cat home earlier this year against her mum's wishes? We're glad to report that the adorable Lao Ban seems to be fitting in just fine at home, and even got the chance to hang out with Ling Ying's best friend, Cheryl Chou.

"He was so scared when I first picked him up, but he slowly warmed up and constantly looked up at me with his pretty doe eyes," gushed Cheryl on her IG story, complete with a heart face emoji.

Nurul Aini and her husband celebrated their 23rd anniversary of being a couple

The actress revealed that her real estate agent husband asked her to be his "steady" on Apr 23, 2000.

23 years and three kids later, the couple still found time to head out for a date to celebrate the occasion.

"23 years since we became girlfriend/ boyfriend. So long ah. But there's always a first. Like eating Acai on our dating anni," wrote Nurul's husband in his IG story, which she reposted with the sweet caption: "It's the simplest things sometimes."

Joel Choo hung out with some Pokemon in China

If the actor bringing his Pokemon card to the Star Awards red carpet this year wasn't enough to convince you that he's a big Pokemon fan, maybe this will.

The Pokemon were perfectly photoshopped into his holiday pics, and though the views in Shanghai were certainly pretty, the tiny adorable creatures definitely stole the show in this post.

The cast of My One And Only had prata together

Shawn Thia posted a story of him and his co-stars Zoe Tay, Ya Hui, Zhai Siming, and Fang Rong enjoying their meal at Springleaf Prata Place, and just check out Siming's portion.

He also shared pics of him "violating Ah Jie's dog [while] she's busy filming". Thanks to Shawn, we know that Zoe, who is a well-known dog lover, brings her schnauzer on set in a small trolley. Seriously, how adorable is that?
