'I’ve never looked good dancing': Leon Lai, 56, on why he sits to sing his fast songs at his concert

You know, like he's at a karaoke sesh with friends.

Leon Lai, 56, is currently finishing up his 10-show run at the Hong Kong Coliseum, with fans enthralled by the medley of his most popular hits.

However, concertgoers noticed that instead of getting up on his feet and grooving along to the choreography during the fast numbers, like say fellow Heavenly King Aaron Kwok, Leon was oddly seen sitting and at times, awkwardly clapping to the fast beats of 'Listen to the Body Sing'.

You know, like he's at a karaoke sesh with friends and not performing to thousands in a stadium.

The lack of movement was obviously not lost on the singer.

During an intermission, a voice from the screen behind asked why he wasn’t dancing, to which Leon responded, “Why not? I have never looked good dancing. Let’s leave it to the dancers while I focus on singing.”

The voice further asked if he could move a little more to which Leon replied he can only do a couple of moves before saying, “Forget it! I will just sing!”

Touche!

Leon broached the topic a few days later, and this time said, “If the time and feeling is right, then I will do it.”

The feeling must have been right then, as fans were treated to a couple of PSY-like dance moves when it was time to perform 'Sugar in the Marmalade'.

Leon, what a tease.
