Jam Hsiao’s agency condemns allegations the singer was on drugs after he was seen walking funny at event in China

The singer’s agency were quick to shut down the rumours, saying that netizens had “interpreted the video maliciously”.

Taiwanese singer Jam Hsiao, 36, recently attended an event in Guangzhou, where he appeared looking very, very relaxed.

The star was seen walking towards the photo wall awkwardly, his legs flapping like he just had leg day at the gym. His posture was also slouchy and sluggish and netizens have said he looked as if he was "floating".

The clip of Jam at the event quickly went viral, with many netizens trying to find good reason for the singer’s listless walk.

That, coupled with how they claimed he looked sniffly, led many to conclude that he was under the influence of drugs.

The singer’s agency were quick to shut down the rumours, saying that netizens had “interpreted the video maliciously”, and were “spreading untruths” and “ill-intentioned comments” about the star.

They asked netizens take the videos of Jam down, and threatened to take legal action against those who infringed upon the singer’s rights.

Jam has also spoken up against the rumours, saying: “Adhering to laws is a basic human principle. Let's be people with critical thinking skills, joke around within limits, and stop spreading rumours."

As it turns out, Jam was in Nanjing for work when the city was hit by a thunderstorm. It led many to believe that the singer could have fallen sick because of the weather, and was feeling unwell on the day of the event.
