JJ Lin Fan Holds Up Cartier Ring For The Singer To ‘Bless’ At His Concert, JJ Mistook It For A Gift But Has Since Returned It

We’re all aware of how some fans spare no expense when it comes to sending gifts to their favourite stars. But what happens when your idol mistakes your new, expensive ring for a gift?

When attending JJ’s recent concert in the United States, said fan was lucky enough to get a chance to touch the star’s hand.

However, according to their post, JJ mistook the fan's Cartier ring for a gift and kept it after “thanking them with a handshake”.

The fan was left extremely surprised and “almost laughed to death” after the incident. Other netizens also chimed in on the post, saying that “JJ must have thought that he was being proposed to”.

Now you might be wondering, why was the fan holding an expensive ring in their hand?

Turns out, the fan had bought the ring in Las Vegas the day before the concert, and was able to buy tickets to Adele’s concert right after.

This led the fan to believe that the newly bought ring was “lucky”, and so the fan wanted to let JJ touch it to add to its “good luck”.

Some netizens thought that the post might affect JJ’s reputation negatively, as it made him sound like a, well, thief. 

The fan has since apologised in another post, revealing that JJ’s staff had reached out to arrange for the return of the ring. It was also emphasised that the singer would “never take advantage of a fan” and that he “really treasures the gifts he receives from fans”.

The fan also said that JJ must’ve been too busy on stage to understand their intentions and thus, mistook it for a Valentine’s Day gift.

“It’s okay if you guys want to scold me, but don’t scold JJ, thanks,” wrote the fan.

The fan wrote a post to explain the hilarious situation, and apologised to JJ for "causing him trouble"
