Couch potatoes, consider this a warning. As it turns out, when you’re in quarantine, trying not to go stir-crazy and praying that you're COVID-free aren't your only worries. You’ve got to watch your posture too.

On September 7, Kate Pang updated her Instagram with pictures of her hooked up to a very bizarre-looking contraption, revealing that she's suffering some side-effects from her recent quarantine.

From what we know, Kate flew back to Taiwan from Singapore almost a month ago, and had to spend two weeks in quarantine there.

In her caption, Kate went on to share that she’d somehow injured her neck and that the pain was worsening day by day. So she visited the physiotherapist, who then hooked her up to this strange device.

“The physiotherapist said that [my neck ache] was due to improper posture, of which there are many causes , like ‘lying on the bed to watch television…’ That’s right, ‘cos my hotel room was very small, I practically spent all 14 days lying in bed”, Kate lamented in her caption.

“I never thought that the [consequences of lying in bed] would be so severe. Reminding everyone here too, that lying in bed to watch television is not good for your cervical spine. Typically, sitting on small stools, the floor and bending over to wear your shoes are really bad for your spine too. I’ll start caring for the longevity of my spine from now on,” she wrote.

The comments section were filled with celebs and netizens wishing Kate a speedy recovery, and in the case of Lee Teng, getting a little freaked out by Kate’s ‘neck brace’.

“[If it were me], I wouldn’t dare to try this, it feels really scary,” wrote the host.
