A Kindred Spirit star Marco Lo now sells home appliances in China; said to have net worth of over S$17.4m
The 55-year-old former actor left showbiz in 2001.
If you've been watching new TVB drama From Hong Kong to Beijing, you would have noticed a really familiar face from the past.
We're talking about '90s Hong Kong heartthrob Marco Lo, who was one of TVB's most favoured actors back in the day.
The now 55-year-old star is best known for his role as Tang Li Sheng in 1995 TVB long-form drama A Kindred Spirit, winning the hearts of many with his good looks and gentlemanly demeanour at that time.
His career in showbiz was short-lived though. In 2001, he quit acting to start a real estate business in China.
Since then, Marco has remained under the radar, only making the occasional guest appearances on TV "for fun".
In fact, he's been so hush-hush about his life that it was only recently that people found out that he had given up on his real estate biz to sell home appliances.
In a new video shared on his Xiao Hong Shu, Marco could be seen taking his clients on a tour of his factory. He also revealed that his company had developed a new "organic sea cucumber", alluding that he's venturing into the seafood industry as well.
According to Hong Kong media hk01, the actor has a net worth of more than HK$100mil (S$17.4mil).
Looks like he made the right choice to switch careers two decades ago?
