This Week’s Best-Dressed Local Stars: Jul 10-17
The most stylish celeb OOTDs of the week.
Cheery colours and standout prints took centerstage in the celebrity circuit this week. Rui En, Michelle Chong, and Chen Yixin took colour play to the next level, while Felicia Chin and Joanne Peh showed us how to nail tonal dressing.
Michelle was initially going to save this fiery red jumpsuit for National Day, Christmas or Chinese New Year, but couldn't wait to show it off. We don't blame her — she looks stunning in it.
Here’s a weekend-ready combo we’d gladly wear. Becks’ double denim look features a sleeveless crop top — great for our warm weather — and high waisted jeans for a slimming effect.
Playing tourist in our own country? Look to Rui En for a stylish vacay-ready outfit. Her holiday wardrobe must-haves include a bold printed short sleeve shirt, the classic white tee and jeans combo, shades and cute shoulder bag.
Decked in a tone-on-tone outfit by Hermès, Joanne looked sleek and stylish for a shoot this week. We can't our eyes off her fierce gaze and toned bod.
Don't you just love how quirky Felicia looks in this powder pink ensemble? Extra points for the matching socks and drink.
Dior fan Jesseca (literally) wore her heart on her sleeve when she shared this pic of herself in a stylish checkerboard windbreaker and kicks from the brand.
When we saw Yixin’s gym gear from Puma, we can’t help but be reminded of Paddle Pop ice cream which is probably not a good thing to think about while working out. But hey, at least the colourful getup inspired us to be as fit as her.
Fiona looked ready to talk serious business in the above boardroom-ready outfit by Dior. On our lust list? The classic bar jacket on Fiona that looks forever modern and feminine.
Clad in a ribbed crop top and checked mini skirt — both of which exude major varsity and cheer leader vibes — Sonia looked like she just walked out of the set of Gossip Girl.
Now here’s an OOTD that brought a big smile to our faces. Not only did Kewei her boys, Momo, 3, and Xiao Pian Pian, 1, show that twinning (or is it tripling?) is winning with their matching chambray ensembles, but Momo also killed it with his pose. Too cute!
While we love how vibrant and spunky Yifeng looks in her blond tresses, pink shorts suit and hot pink stilettos, we can't take our eyes off those wrinkles on her bottoms.
Not only is Fang Rong’s off-duty look easy to pull together, it's also very chic. Want a sportier look? Throw on a pair of sneakers and bomber jacket.
On days when we can’t think of what to wear, we can always count on a simple black and white getup. For the guys, consider Shaun’s laidback look which is comfy but not overly dressed down.
Who says a plain white dress is boring? Tanya’s off-shoulder frock combines what looks like button down with a long hemline, creating a goddess-like number that looks red carpet-ready.
The fun thing about dressing up is that we can get creative if we want to. Ying Ying went for opposites, pairing a long, dreamy frock with a pair of tough looking high boots. Love this combo!
Yasminne’s outfit, comprising of a long cut-out dress and statement earrings, empitomised understated glamour. Gorgeous!
Gone are the days when workout clothes are restricted to gyms and spin studios. To make it look even more trendy, follow Jayley’s footsteps by layering a lightweight blazer over it and accessorising with gold tone jewellery to pile on the glam.
Looking stylish in a long frilly printed dress and embellished headband, Manja host Lydia Asyiqin looked like she was set to hit the streets for a round of street style photography.
Edwin went for a pared down getup this week, sporting a powder blue and white colour combo that blended well with the iconic LOVE sculpture behind him. Is anyone else getting school uniform vibes from this look?
While Jean’s sweet and flirty pink frock might be the star of this OOTD, the DJ’s kawaii pose is equally eye-catching. We wished she’d swapped those kicks for something more dainty though.
If we were to invest in one casual and look-good-with-anything outerwear, it’d be a bomber jacket. Jade layered hers over a simple T-shirt and skirt combo, looking energetic and ready to get active any time.
