Local TikToker bumps into Itzy's Yuna in Singapore, netizens confused as to why the k-pop star was at a pasar malam

In January this year, K-pop girl group Itzy held their Checkmate concert in Singapore to the delight of local fans.

One Singaporean fan, who goes by the TikTok handle @mxnghxi, was luckier than the others.

On May 18, she posted a TikTok of herself running into Itzy member Yuna. Yes, four months after their gig.

The TikToker wrote: “Since their SG vlog is out, I decided not to gatekeep these videos anymore”.

In @mxnghxi's video, she is seen greeting Yuna at what looked like a fair or a pasar malam of sorts.

The camera then cuts to her and a friend at the Itzy concert, writing that she “went in expecting nothing”.

However, it appeared that Yuna recognised @mxnghxi, and even waved at her during the soundcheck that fans who hold VIP tickets get to see before the actual performance.

@mxnghxi's night got even better. From the video, we could see Yuna looking at her direction during the concert, even “interacting with [her and her friend] during her solo performance”, she wrote.

@mxnghxi's experience has made her the envy of many other Itzy fans, with her video garnering more than 400K views and 80K likes as of press time.

“This amount of eye contact would have made me [faint],” read one popular comment.

Other netizens also expressed their surprise at where @mxnghxi first saw Yuna.

“Imagine meeting her at a pasar malam”, “Tell me why I thought she went to a ramadhan bazaar” were just some of the comments left on the TikTok.

@mxnghxi has since replied to the comments, clarifying that she actually bumped into Yuna at Gardens By The Bay, which runs seasonal fairs with pop-up booths.

Seems like Gardens By The Bay is really the place to go if you wish to see stars.
